Really nice skyline view of Edinburgh Castle, sketched by a talented Edinburgh artist and silk-screened or other printiing onto cotton dish towels.  Hung on the line, so there's a little sag that reflects light, but the towel itself is perfectly rectangular and crisp.  Comes in its original packaging, fresh from Scotland.  Opened only for pix.

A wonderful souvenir!  It is nice enough to have it blocked and framed to hang on the wall for a beautiful memory of Edinburgh. A nice item for fans of OUTLANDER Highlander Jamie Fraser and Sassenach Claire Randall Fraser: for the Royal Mile, an important landmark for them (when Jamie began his printing press business after Culloden), starts at Edinburgh Castle and runs down to Holyroodhouse, Holyrood Palace.

"Edinburgh Castle, set on one of the highest promontories in the city, dominates the skyline of the city. There has been a royal castle on Castle Rock since at least the reign of David I in the 12th century, and the site continued to be a royal residence until 1633. From the 15th century the castle's residential role declined, and by the 17th century it was principally used as military barracks with a large garrison. Its importance as a part of Scotland's national heritage was recognized increasingly from the early 19th century onwards, and various restoration programs have been carried out over the past century and a half.
