ABOUT THE STAMPS
CTT launches on August 25, a philatelic issue commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Star Wars saga. This issue is the result of a partnership between CTT Correios de Portugal and The Walt Disney Company Portugal and is the first time that Portuguese stamps, whose issues are among the most awarded in the world, address the imaginary of Hollywood. Some of the characters in this saga, which began in 1977 with the first film Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope, are represented in these stamps. They are Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Master Yoda.
