When I was a child more than 40+ years ago my father was in the antique jewelry business. 

From time to time he would come home with different treasures and occasionally he would let me "acquire" them!  

I am selling all of my collection and it ranges from necklaces to sterling pins, to rhinestone Deco pieces and more.

This is an antique/vintage Round Reverse Painted Crystal (or maybe glass?) Intaglio Stone.

It has a English horseback rider jumping his horse over a  fence.

This measures approx. 1/2" in diameter x approx. 3/16" deep.

It was typically used with a mother of pearl/abalone disc placed behind it to make the image pop out but this one has some kind of shiny material glued mostly on the back to make it stand out..
