This and a large group of fine early Victorian watercolours and drawings are from an album, possibly  belonging to a Norfolk family we have not been able to identify.
Although the cover was badly damaged the leaves themselves were in unusually good condition for the period and the drawings and watercolours in very fine condition throughout.    Consequently, in most cases we have been able to leave them on their original backing rather than soak them off.     We have then mounted them on acid free board.           We are offering them individually in sections.
This fourth section is mostly of pencil drawings.
This pencil drawing depicts a group of exotic birds.      It dates circa 1840
