The MedSurg® Healing Shoe from DARCO is designed to provide the foot with solid protection and accommodate bulky bandages with ease.

The square toe design acts as a bumper to protect the toes when K-wires are present and provides a better fit for the left or right foot by eliminating toe overhang. The rocker sole reduces plantar pressure on the forefoot and heel by over 25%, for a more comfortable walking experience and encourages a smooth toe-off while maintaining a stable mid-foot base.

A strapless fastening system can be removed and rotated to provide a left or right overlap and the new ankle strap eliminates heel slippage. The zoned outsole provides traction under the midfoot.

Indications for use:

»  Forefoot ulcerations
»  Post surgical healing and forefoot trauma
»  Used postoperatively for stability and off-loading, e.g. after foot osteotomy procedures
»  Used postoperatively after procedures to correct hallux valgus and hammer toes/tailor’s bunions
