Beautiful original large Winter Landscape Oil Painting by artist Susan Matisko. Amazing piece painted on a large antique primitive 1800s wood ironing board. The wood displays brilliantly and has a great country/rustic farm look to it. Wood boasts natural age splits and worm holes and has a great patina. Wood ironing board backed with old wood boards and flat head screws. New hanging hooks have been applied by the artist so this is ready to hang. Medium is oil on wood done in an Impressionist style. Signed and dated by the artist Susan Matisko ‘82 in the bottom right hand corner. Very well done showing a magnificent panoramic winter farm scene complete with housed barns, wood fence and mail box in an old milk container.
In Excellent condition. Clean bright and vibrant with thick and vibrant paint. Ironing board in Good antique condition with gentle wear and natural age splits and smooth rounded edges. Each blemish is in the Wood is not a detraction but in fact an enhancement for it acts as a testament to the pieces age and authenticity.
