All of these crystals in this lot are FT-243 or equivalent package (e.g., CR8 CR6, etc) with a screw-on-lid. (The plated RCA-branded FT-243's have been screen out.) I know some people are resurrecting the lost art of crystal grinding and you should be able to open it to remove the quartz blank if that is what you want to do.
Pictures are representative, not exhaustive. There will likely be stickers, signal-corps stamps, etc. on the case, as is typical of this 1940s/50's stuff.
All crystals are tested for oscillation and that the frequency is near what is marked, consistent with aging and tolerances that are typical of this stuff.
