Vintage Original GRAEME HAMMOND Photograph w/ Olympic President Autograph 

Autograph with personalized note below a photo of Graeme Hammond. It says "To my dear friend from Dr. Graeme M. Hammond".

Graeme Hammond was an American neurologist and sportsperson who advocated for physical exercise as treatment for nervous disorders. He served as an officer of the American Neurological Association for twenty years. He was an Olympian in Fencing, a former NYAC president and a 1982 Hall of Fame inductee. Hammond graduated from Columbia in 1887 and earned his MD from the NYU College of Medicine in 1891, where he later became a professor or mental and nervous disorders. Hammond was the AAU national foil champion in 1891 and the national epee champion in 1889 and 1891. In 1981, Hammond helped found the Amateur Fencers League of America. Hammond was elected president of the New York Athletic Club in 1916and served until 1919.
