String is 36' foot spanning end to end.

We use 6.5' metal electrical conduit (painted to match ground conditions) pressed into the ground.

Three guide lines staked into the ground. 

Each line is attached to a (Rain Gutter) spike (like a long nail), and dropped into the top of the pipe.

The other end is nailed to the ground. 

This helps support the conduit up-right.
