Antique Silverplate Art Deco Cocktail Shaker by Wm. Rogers & Son
This magnificent 1920's silver plate cocktail shaker is by Wm Rogers & Son in the Paris pattern.
The
cocktail shaker features a strainer spout. Sides are
fluted; a classic Art Deco design circles the shaker top, and lid has a
small band of detail at the base of the knob. The shaker is insulated,
and could be used for hot coffee or tea (in fact, the piece is sometimes
offered as a coffee pot).
Approximate measurements: 9 inches tall (the lid adds
another 2 inches); it is 5 inches in diameter at its widest, and 9
inches spout to handle.
Condition: For a pot that's nearly 100 years old, it's in very good condition. The are some scratches, and some (see photos), but no dents or chipping. The interiors have very little staining. The silver plate has a lovely patina to it; leave it aged or polish to it's former glory if desired.
The piece is marked "Paris", with an
anchor, followed by "WM Rogers & Son,"; the shaker bottom is also
stamped "5220" and "40 oz".
Combined shipping is available for multiple items ordered.
