As most new appliances are now cold water feed only you have no use for the old hot tap
You may simply be moving house or removing your washing machine/dishwasher
Simply turning it off will not hold back the water forever so it needs to be capped
This will be everything you need and is very low cost, no tools needed!
Washer included to make the seal, screw the cap on with washer in place being careful not to cross thread it! 'till filmly in place and voila.
