Tools you may require.

Old towel
If possible remove your door from the stove body and lay it on a flat surface using an old towel to protect the door and surfaces.
Remove the old rope and clean the channel back to metal making sure to remove all old glue deposits.
Use sandpaper to clean all deposits and then clean the channel.
lay your new rope into the channel to set the length you require, making sure not to stretch the rope.
Now add glue to the channel, try not to add too much but make sure the channel has a good covering.
Now push the rope into the channel pushing the cut ends tightly together
Leave until the rope is secure
Refit the door and then follow the glue instructions to check setting times.
