Antique Sterling Silver Buckle King & Sons Chester England 1895 Art Nouveau 31 g


This beautiful antique Victorian sterling silver buckle was made by King & Sons of Chester, England in 1895.


The buckle is marked in four places, as shown in the pictures:
   
It is marked on the main buckle with the lion passant, the Chester town mark, and the date mark 'M'.
Elsewhere on the main buckle is marked Kg &Sns, the maker's hallmark.
It is marked with the lion passant and 'M' on the thin bar.
It is also marked on one tooth with the lion passant and 'M'.

It weighs 31 g.
It is about 3 1/4" across and 2 1/8" high.

The buckle is in overall good condition.  There are some places where a strand of the fine silver work has broken.  See pictures.
