For sale is a SIGNED, limited first edition of  The Texas Rangers: A Century of Frontier Defense by Walter Prescott Webb with illustrations by Lonnie Rees. SIGNED by author Webb on limitation page, hand numbered #43 of 205 made. Published by Houghton Mifflin Company and The Riverside Press Cambridge in 1935. Book itself is still close to "very good condition" overall. Binding is sound and pages are unmarked, with the exception of previous owner's bookplate affixed inside front cover. Cover opens easily, but is still firmly bound. Hardcover boards are square with minor shelf wear. Leather spine shows significant shelf wear, rubbing and scuffing, with chips to the title card.
