Cast iron animals and toys were quite popular before WWII, and have never really gone out of style. The old ones are quite hard to find now, as so many were given to the war effort to make armor for ships and other needed items. Enjoy this delightful cast iron figurine as reminder of an era when life moved more slowly and summer seemed to last forever.
You certainly couldn't go wrong with these birds! They are solid cast iron. They are 1-1.5 inches high, 1-1.5 inches wide and weigh 2-3 ounces.
