These new improved waterproof over-trousers have a tough nylon outer fabric with a super breathable waterproof inner layer. This is protected from wear by a silky smooth nylon taffeta lining which aids breathability. Nylon is the most durable fabric and the new proofing layer has an impressive hydrostatic head so a long life of excellent performance is assured. Taped seems are used throughout to ensure the pants are fully waterproof. A Durable Water Repellent DWR coating is applied to the surface fabric to aid breathability by helping to stop the surface from wetting out when its raining. A back pocket has a top flap fastend down with velcro. This flap has the Sprayway logo embroiderd into it: a great sign of quality. Ankle zips enable the trousers to be slipped on easily whilst wearing boots and glove friendly tabs with velcro fastening enable the pants to be fitted neatly over your footwear. ( Please place your foot in a plastic bag if your boots are muddy when putting on the trousers.) The material used allows your sweat to escape so you can stay dry and comfortable.

• New Improved Hydro-Dry fabric is waterpoof, windproof and super breathable. A hard wearing, plain weave nylon (polyamide) on the outer face is bonded to a waterproof layer with a great hydrostatic head of 20,000 mm and an impressive breathability (MVTR) of 15,000 gms/sq m over 24 hours. A tough, silky soft nylon taffeta lining protects the proofing on the inside.
• The smooth Taffeta lining ensures the pants can be slipped on and off easily over footwear and ensures the abrasion on the inner waterproof coating is kept to a minimum.
• The outer surface of the material is treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) surface treatment. This helps to prevent the surface of the material from wetting out when it rains and therefore enables perspiration vapour to escape from the inside even when its raining.
• Fully taped seams with durable seam tape ensures full waterproof protection.
• Weight is 367 gms (12.9 oz) for size 12.
• Back pocket with top protected by a storm flap to keep out the rain.
• Quarter length ankle zips allow the pants to be slipped on easily, even over footwear. There is a storm guard inside the zips to ensure you stay completely dry, even in torrential rain.
• Ankles have Velcro adjustment tabs to ensure a good fit over your boots. These tabs can be used easily when wearing gloves or mitts.

Washing Instructions: The outer surface of the fabric has been treated to give a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) as the first barrier to keeping you dry. Clean your garment regularly in order to maintain this:

• Machine wash in warm water at 30C/86F with Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers equivalent.
• Alternatively you can hand wash in Dreft.
• Rinse.
• Renew the DWR with the appropriate Nikwax or Grangers product if necessary.
• Drip dry.
• DO NOT use fabric softeners or bleach.
• Never dry clean.
• Cool iron only

Technical Specifications

Hydro / Dry fabric is guaranteed to keep you dry and will hold back a column of water 20 metres high without leaking i.e. the Hydrostatic head is 20,000 mm. There is a breathability rating or MVTR (Moisture Vapour Transfer Rate) of 15,000 g per square metre over a period of 24hrs. So if your jacket is made from 1.3 square metres of material, it will transfer 19.5 litres of liquid perspiration every 24 hrs. That's roughly one litre of sweat for each hour of exercise. A very impressive performance compared to the majority of waterproof jackets, especially at this price.
The fabric used has a hard wearing plain weave nylon face and a quality print finish on the inside to protect the waterproof layer.
The outer surface of the material is treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) surface treatment. This prevents the surface of the material from wetting out when it rains and therefore enables perspiration vapour to escape from the inside even when its raining. The DWR will wear off in time and is best replenished every time the garment is washed. This can be done using the reproofing products supplied by Nikwax and Grangers.
