ANTIQUE 6" LONG OLIVE / PICKLE SERVING FORK
FROM THE 1894 ISSUED AND DISCONTINUED "ELMWOOD" PATTERN NAME OF
STERLING SILVER FLATWARE
MADE BY HENRY BIRKS & SONS, OF MONTREAL, QUEBEC CANADA,
THE CANADIAN SILVER DIVISION FOR GORHAM SILVER, USA

THEY ARE MONOGRAMMED WITH A SCRIPT LETTER "V",
WEIGHS 18.5 GRAMS

They are monogrammed on the top of the handle in a script letter V, otherwise, each show light wear from use and storage, including minor surface marks and scratches.  They have just been hand polished and have very nice shine, are very clean, are all straight and not bent, with no major issues at all.

Top is very nicely and ornately done in a floral and scroll pattern design, made to look etched, that is indicative of the late 1890s.  All are stamped on the back BIRKS STERLING, the hallmark for Henry Birks & Sons of Montreal, Quebec Canada.  They are known as the Canadian manufacturer for Gorham Silver products and their patterns are exactly the same.

Whether you have the Gorham hallmarked set or this seldom seen Birks example, both from this pattern design are very hard to find.

If you own an heirloom set of silver from this rare pattern, this is a great opportunity to add these to expand your set or fill missing holes you've been meaning to!  Even if you don't necessarily need these pieces, adding more adds extra resale value to your set if you ever choose to sell it, while being a great silver investment at the same time!

Be sure to check out our other listings for more Sterling silver flatware from this extremely hard to find Elmwood pattern!!  This pattern does not surface often, so once they're sold, they're all long gone!
