Used in medicine as an expectorant, anti-inflammatory and coating agent in the form of infusions and decoctions, the best two-year plants.
Harvest the roots in autumn or spring.
Rhizomes are washed, cleaned, free from stiff parts, and immediately dried to prevent any yellowing, at a temperature not above 35°C.
Store in a closed container for 2-3 years.
