The Lenco L70 Tonearm is wonderful
But are already sexagenarian
So they need some care and some attention
The vertical arm bearings of Lenco L70 tonearm were smeared with grease. In the early days it worked with lubricant, but after half a century this grease dryed and incorporated micro particles and solidified. Now it is a hard paste and works as glue and not as a lubricant. The performance of the arm is seriously compromised. Therefore cleaning service and new lubricant is required. If the original bearings are in good health and you want to keep them, fine. But, with this kit, you can take the opportunity to place new closed bearings. These new bearings have 10 times less friction than the original bearings and do not require any lubricant.
The original tonearm wires also gained some oxidation and their diameter compromises, in some cases, the horizontal movement. So you can also upgrade the wires, also included in this kit.
Thus, for the price of two or three coffees you will give a new life to the mythical Lenco L70. This wonderful and charming record player deserves that. In return he will give you many hours of pure happiness.
