This bracelet is made from 6 British six pence coins. The coins have been domed so that the portrait side is high and rounded, and the reverse is recessed. Each piece has two holes on each side where the six coins are joined together by loops. There are three loops between each coin with a hook on one end and a loop on the other end to join them for wearing. All the six pences are dated 1944, and are made from .500 fine silver. The coins are all uniformly high grade so they were all likely uncirculated or nearly so at the time the piece was made. The coins are all toned and the links have darkened over time. Likely a wartime souvenir made by a soldier, a form of "trench art" , for a wife or girlfriend. Total length is 7", so it is a lady's length bracelet.
