These poppies in are an annuals, meaning the complete their life during one season. The germinate, grow, flower, go to seed and then die all in one season.
They love full sun, but can be grown in partial shade as well.
The optimum planting time is in late fall after temps fall below 50.
The seeds need stratification in order to germinate in the spring.
If you plant in the spring, the seeds need to be stored in a cold dry place in an unheated garage or refrigerated until they are planted.
