Primethorpe Paving is a family run business that has been supplying natural stone products in our local Peterborough area for over 20 years and nationally for the last 10 years.
  
Your custom is very important to us and we are strive to achieve a friendly service to the highest standards possible - with our vast experience and knowledge of all stone materials we aim to provide a fast and effective response to your enquiries and are always available to offer advice and expertise before you undertake your project as well as being available for any aftercare questions.

We strive to import and supply natural products to a premium standard all whilst remaining at a competitive price range. Over the last 10 years we have worked tirelessly with our international counterparts to make sure we only receive the best quality materials with the strongest possible colour pallet. We aspire for our materials to be the industry standard when it comes to the vibrant colour.

We also use the latest visual paving technologies for our web site. This results in high quality, easy, fast and impressive user experience for our customers.

About our Stock

All our Products are ethically source and unlike other suppliers who risk purchasing form opening auction we only purchase direct from quarries. On average our yard contains over 15,000 sqm of stock at any one time. 

The saying “you get what you pay for” is very applicable when it comes to purchasing natural stone material, in our years of experience when a price from other suppliers seems too good to be true there will usually be a catch somewhere and that catch is usually one or more of the below:
   
​​​We have all our goods brought back to our Peterborough Yard, where we can check all our goods before removing any damages, a lot of supplies now operate from a port warehouse to save the costs for delivering to their yards. Although this reduces the overall cost of the material it then leaves the stock to be loaded by third parties who have no experience in stone quality and who will NOT remove damages slabs before dispatch.

  • When your hearth arrives take the time to open the packaging and inspect for damages before signing any delivery paperwork, although damages during the delivery process are often very few and far between, unfortunately they do happen. If the situation arises where your hearth has arrived damaged, photograph the hearth, and reject the delivery and the courier will return the damaged hearth to us. Damages must then be reported to us within 24hrs with imagery included please. Upon notification we will begin to process a replacement.


  • Please note that although we try our hardest to book an exact day for your delivery, in some instances the arrival of goods could be delayed by 24hrs in unforeseen circumstances. Please do not book any tradesmen until the product physically arrives. If you choose to book a contractor before arrival of the goods, we are not responsible for consequential loss of earnings.


  • It is also your responsibility to inform us of any access problems before placing an order, taking into consideration the size of the delivery vehicle may be up to 18 tonnes which may need wider access. A 7.5t vehicle can be requested if you feel access may be tight.


  • Where necessary, re-delivery charges will apply if no one present at the address to sign for the goods on the pre-agreed day. To avoid re-delivery charges, drivers may leave it unsigned with prior contact but leaving unsigned will waiver your right to report shortages and or damages. It is important you do all you can do be present during delivery.


  • Nationwide delivery is carried out through a 3rd party. The courier operates with tail-lift and manual pump truck service and will only guarantee a kerbside drop or a drop to the nearest access point on a hard surface. The delivery company will NOT enter your house to leave the goods inside. If you have a driveway that the goods can be left on or that you wish for the lorry to drive onto this is purely an agreement between yourself and the Haulier and is not part of contract between Primethorpe Paving Ltd and yourself. Subsequently and   If your property has loose gravel chippings, soft, uneven ground or an incline/decline present, the pump truck will be unable to pass it and the product will be left at the nearest suitable area. At the driver’s discretion they may move the goods on to a driveway or front garden but


  • Delivery routes are planned by the courier daily, usually divided into a morning run and an afternoon run. Deliveries can be made between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm. On all deliveries, where an accurate mobile number has been provided, we will request that the courier sends you a text message when the goods leave the depot and further text when the driver has an estimated arrival time (a 2 hour window), finally we request the driver gives you a call when they are 30mins away. Please note the phone call from the driver is only a request and not something we can promise. It is your responsibility to provide an up to date mobile number for us, please feel free to email us your contact number if you feel we may not have one.

We are committed to seeing every transaction through to a successful conclusion. Should you find our products or service are not to your satisfaction, please give us the opportunity to resolve the situation before considering leaving us anything other than positive feedback.

Prices are subject to change and Primethorpe Paving updates its ebay shop on a daily basis, however we cannot accept orders based on earlier pricing that may have been cached on the web. We may need to pass this increase on to you, but will not accept your order unless you are aware of the price increase and are willing to pay it.

We aim to keep sufficient stock levels on hand. However, in times of unexpectedly high demand we may unfortunately run out. If this happens we may delay dispatch of your order while new stock is delivered. If you have opted for a premium delivery option, or we are expecting a longer delay we will use the information you have provided with your order to keep you informed of progress. You may contact us at any time to check on the progress of your order.

We are constantly updating our product prices. We are confident of our technology and staff but acknowledge that human error is always possible. If goods are offered for sale incorrectly we will always try to honour our offer. There may be rare circumstances where it is not possible for us to do so. In such cases we will contact you and explain the situation, if we are unable to resolve the matter fairly with you we reserve the right to refuse your order and refund any payment you may have made​​​​​​​

We have no problem offering full refunds on unwanted items, however a small re-stocking fee of 15% will apply.


Please note we cannot offer any returns on orders that have been cut to bespoke sizes. Any custom made item will not be refunded

Items you wish to exchange or return must be sent back to us at the cost of the buyer and the replacement sent will also be at buyer’s cost.
