Measurements
In order to ensure the accuracy of your measurements, we recommend removing the existing foam inserts from your cushion covers and laying them out on a flat surface, ensuring no bumps or creases, whilst being careful not to stretch the material.
We recommend measuring each dimension across the middle of the cover, as often the corners are stitched tighter for added strength.
If you are unsure or require any advise regarding the measurements for your foam order, please get in touch and we will do our best to assist you.
Additions
We recommend adding Dacron and Stockinette to your foam. Dacron is a polyester fibre that is used to wrap cut foam, it is durable, high quality and unlike natural fibres it is hypoallergenic, non-absorbent and mildew-resistant. Wrapping your foam will help reduce friction, therefore reducing wear to your fabric. It will give a rounded and softer appearance to your cushions and will keep any wear waves from developing.
Stockinette is fitted on top of the Dacron wrap to allow for easier insertion of your foam in to its cover and to reduce creasing of your fabric. Dacron and Stockinette go hand in hand and we recommend the fitting of both to your replacement cushion foam.
Please message your shape and size requirements through ebay, and advise us as to whether you are looking for a firm density or a medium density foam, as well as whether you require your foam to be wrapped in Dacron and / or Stockinette - if you are unsure on what would be the best density for your project, please let us know, we will be happy to assist you.
