Nice 1964 Topps Giant #11 Roberto Clemente NM/MINT (8-8.5)
Exceptional Card, Set Break from Private Collection

Card looks mint at first glance. Centering It is 55/45 side to side an 55/45 top to bottom.  Surface & back are as clean as when new.  Corners and edges look really nice from the front & back, but have some slight imperfections on a couple of corners, but you have to look for them.  We would give this a NM/Mint 8.0-8.5 grade depending on standards used, but we will leave final decisions up to buyers.  Colors and images are strong and sharp, as well its original sheen.  There are some minor original printing imperfections (left of ear on front) and one slight discolor spot on back of card or we would have called this 8.5-9.0.  But we leave final grading up to buyers to decide.   See comments below.

Card(s) are from a private collector's estate. Hand collected and boxed (or sleeved) away usually since year of production.  All in smoke and pet free environments.

This is a sharp card.  We photoed multiple times so you can evaluate the card and determine your opinion on condition. It looks new & fresh.  The owner was very particular in preserving the cards he collected as a young man in the late 1950's-65. This was one such card.

Personal Note on Card Grading: While we do not want to criticize any professional graders or their services, we rarely utilize those services any longer due to what we feel are dramatic inconsistencies with their practices & results.  Such as the same cards being resubmitted to the same companies (or others) and receiving 1-3 point (or levels) grade variances.  We have even heard of greater errors.  Buyers and collectors probably are aware of this and can certainly search fraud and complaint boards.  For this reason, we choose to try and be more consistent and accurate and allow buyer's to make their own judgments as well.   We simply value our buyer's to much to leave things in the hands of inconsistent standards.

The grade (if) stated on a listed card (unless professionally graded) is our personal opinion of what the card(s) should grade at when applying the higher accepted standards of the industry, and based on our experience with professional grading services when those standards were properly applied.  Again, it is only our opinion of what the card should grade at if given a full examination, but you should determine the grade based on what you see pictured.  We do not guarantee the card will grade exactly as our opinion states, so again, use your own judgment.  For cards pictured in a holders that we cannot remove, we will note any defects we can observe.  They may appear to have blemishes that are on the holder and not the card.  We will point out if there are any creases, wax or other defects of note.

We have collected, traded & dealt in sports cards for over 45 years & dealt in over 1,000,000 cards in one way or another. We have never had a card returned or not arrive as described as we are very careful & honest in photographing, describing and shipping.  Most of our dealings have not been on eBay or online sales, but we are even more careful doing so online than in person as you do not get to see it in person (that is much easier as you know).

You will get the exact card(s) you buy as pictured.  Always feel free to ask questions as well.  We have this listed as shipping priority mail. We can change to first class if you want to save $2 if you choose.  We simply refund the difference.  All cards above $100 however, will be sent USPS Priority or FedEx if over $1,000.

We ship with extreme care!  Of course there is free local pick up and we can meet to assist if you are near Indianapolis or driving through.  We do this often.
