The graduated Neutral Density Filter is a graduated filter designed to balance an image where one area may be overexposed, enabling you to expose the image more uniformly for all area's of the image.

An example of this would be a landscape shot with a bright sunlight; 

Exposing the shot for the foreground would leave the sky area over exposed and unrecoverable,  exposing for the sky area would leave the foreground underexposed.

The Rotating Graduated filter would enable you to expose the shot for both the foreground and brighter sky area.

The filter is clear on one half with a gradual transition of the ND effect on the other half.

We also sell adaptor rings if you have multiple lenses with differing size filter threads.  If you intend to use these we suggest you order the filter for the largest size thread on your lens and use step down rings to match sizes for your other lenses.  This will avoid any vignette issues using a smaller filter on a larger threaded lens.
