Adafruit HUZZAH ESP8266 Breakout Board, WiFi

Make your next project internet-ready with this compact WLAN board. The ESP8266 processor from Espressif is a microcontroller clocked at 80 MHz with integrated WLAN support. Set up a WLAN access point with the board or connect directly to an existing WLAN network. TCP / IP stack and DNS are also supported!

The Adafruit HUZZAH ESP8266 Breakout is designed to make getting started with the ESP8266 as easy as possible. The module has the following features:

• Integrated antenna
• Reset button
• Red LED that can be controlled by you
• Level converter on UART and reset pin
• 3.3V output, 500mA voltage regulator (the current consumption of the ESP8266 can be up to 250mA!)
• Two inputs protected by diodes

The following interfaces can be reached via the pin headers suitable for breadboard:

• 1x analog input (1.8V max.)
• 9x inputs and outputs / GPIO (3.3V), which can also be used for I2C and SPI
• 2x UART pins
• 2x 3-6V voltage input pins, reset, enable, LDO-disable and 3.3V output

Furthermore, the board has an "FTDI" pinout to simplify the connection to a UART-USB adapter, as shown in the photos as an example. The UART-USB cable can be purchased separately from us and is not included in the scope of delivery.

Each module is delivered assembled and tested. The firmware is already NodeMCU incl. Lua interpreter on the ESP8266.
