SO, YOUR OLD AND RELIABLE STIHL 041 FB or 041AV CHAINSAW SUDDENLY GIVES NO SPARK?
And you took it to your local Stihl dealer and they told you parts (ignition, point, condenser, etc) are no longer available, carb needs rebuilding, etc, etc and they have new saws on sale the same day?
Long story short, here is what I can do for you if you buy this service. You remove* the ignition armature plate (see picture below) and ship to me.
I will convert it to electronic and include a brand new Bosch spark plug and ship back to you.
Instructions or support will be provided if needed.
You reconnect the wiring, bolt the armature plate back on, and you will have sparks and
correct and non-linear timing** on your saw. Make sure your flywheel is in good condition and make sure it is installed with the key aligned.
This is for fixing the "no spark", "weak spark", or "timing shifted" problem on your 041AV with point and condenser ignition. It doesn't fix your saw if it has other problem making it not running correctly. There are 3 different versions of ignition with 041AV. 1 - Bosch Point and condenser. 2 - Bosch Electronic. 3 - SEM Electronic. Each has its own version of flywheel. This service addresses only 1 - Bosch Point and condenser. For 2 and 3, I have no solution.
I am not selling you any parts. I am converting your non-functional 041AV Point and condenser ignition armature plate to electronic so that your saw starts easier, idles smoother, better gas "mileage", and timing never wears out. (see diagram below.)

You cover the cost to ship in. We will cover the cost to ship back unless you are an int'l customer.
30 day re-service warranty. If there is no spark with this upgrade, ship back and we will fix it again. (However, chances are there is a wiring nick, ground, break, or loose connection, or the spring hook inside the boot is loose connecting to the high-tension wire - so check them first.)

*Removing the flywheel requires special tool. Stihl Part Number is 1107 890 4500. I have it available HERE .
**If you think you can just replace the point and condenser, how do you adjust the timing? By the point gap? That will be a wild guess and I guarantee you timing will be off. You need some old special tool (special timing gun, etc) from Stihl and even 99% of dealers don't have it or don't have the know-how.

You need to make sure your saw has this problem. "A saw shop told you that" doesn't mean you do. You need to know how to test for sparks. If this doesn't get your saw running, it means something else (or additionally) is the problem. We do not cover your other problem(s).
