ANTIQUE 10-3/4" LONG GOLD WASH TINES,
LARGE SALAD SERVING FORK
FROM THE 1885 ISSUED AND DISCONTINUED
"JAC ROSE" PATTERN NAME OF STERLING SILVER FLATWARE
MADE BY GORHAM SILVER, USA

IT IS ENGRAVED WITH "O. M. de O.",
TOTAL WEIGHT OF 90.0 GRAMS

It is monogrammed on the top of the handle with what appears to read "O. M. de O.", otherwise, it shows light wear from use and storage, including minor marks, scratches, and it retains a light patina over the Sterling surface due to aging, including the tip of the tines.  It has just been gently hand washed and is very clean, has nice shine as it is, is straight, not bent, with no major issues at all.

Top of the tines is very nicely detailed rose floral design with bright gold wash on both sides, while a similar rose motif is engraved into the handle, all indicative of the Victorian era.  A beautifully crafted serving fork for being 135 years old.

It is hallmarked on the back handle STERLING and the 3 character lion, anchor and G hallmark for Gorham Silver.

If you own an heirloom set of silver from this pattern, this is a great opportunity to add these to expand your set or fill missing holes you've been meaning to!  Even if you don't necessarily need these pieces, adding more adds extra resale value to your set if you ever choose to sell it, while being a great silver investment at the same time!  A very hard to find serving piece!
