ANTIQUE 6-3/4" LONG GRAVY / SAUCE SERVING LADLE
FROM THE 1899 ISSUED AND DISCONTINUED
"EDWARD VII" PATTERN NAME OF STERLING SILVER FLATWARE
MADE BY ALVIN MFG. CO., USA

IT IS MONOGRAMMED WITH A GOTHIC LETTER "M", TOTAL WEIGHT OF 76.5 GRAMS

It is monogrammed on the top of the handle with a Gothic letter "M", otherwise, it shows light wear from use and storage, including minor marks, scratches, and it retains a light patina over the Sterling surface due to aging, including a few spots in the bowl.  It has just been gently hand washed and is very clean, has nice shine as it is, is straight, not bent, with no major issues at all.

Top is very nicely detailed in a raised relief floral design and the image of a man in a suit of armor with helmet, indicative of the Victorian era.
A beautifully crafted ladle that is now 120 years old.  Amazing piece in person.

It is hallmarked on the back handle STERLING and the stylized letter A mark for Alvin Silver Company.

If you own an heirloom set of silver from this pattern, this is a great opportunity to add these to expand your set or fill missing holes you've been meaning to!  Even if you don't necessarily need these pieces, adding more adds extra resale value to your set if you ever choose to sell it, while being a great silver investment at the same time!  Would also be a great serving piece for those looking for something unique to use on your own dinner table, too!
