Works, no battery cover on bottom but batteries stayed in fine when we turned it on.  Tape could be used also if desired.  Batteries not included.  Two circle platforms on the table spin as music is played.  Comes with 13 pieces as shown.  Has been wiped down with Lysol wipes but may need a little spot cleaning from being stored.
