Description and Growing tips:

T.andreana is a very exotic looking tillandsia rated by many as one of the most beautiful of all Tillandsias. 


Andreana is a small compact species growing from 10 to 15cm across in a tight ball of fine needle like leaves . The large bright red flowers appear once the plant matures, and the leaves blush red when flowering in brighter locations.

 

T.andreana is a tropical bromeliad from Colombia, growing between 1500-1700m above sea level in cloud forests. Protection from cold should be provided when growing this plant in southern climates.

On offer is a fully matured flowering size single-headed plant similar to the plants in the 2nd & 3rd photo. The plant supplied will be 10-12cm across and similar to the plants in the last 2 photos.
