The Ista shelter homes are ideal for breeding fish, and providing cover for fish such as plecos and catfish, along with shrimp. These shelter homes also come with a removable mesh on the top to allow you to cultivate aquarium plants such as java moss. Once established, these caves then look very natural in the aquarium.

We have these caves in both small and large size.

Small size: 90mm long, 45mm wide, 55mm tall. Hole opening size: 18mm. Planting mesh 35mm diameter.

Large size: 140mm long, 60mm wide, 85mm tall. Hole opening size: 32mm. Planting mesh 50mm diameter.

These caves have the advantage of being made from a special porous ceramic material which promotes colonisation by filtering bacteria for improved water quality.
