Up for sale is this rare, vintage, I believe bedspread made by Sears with a Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat theme. It is bright and colorful. It measures approx 84” x 106 “.

Was purchased from an estate sale where is was sold as a Twin Size bedspread. There is a seam that goes down along the left side of the piece. It is not visible from the front, if you turn the spread over, you can see it (the pocket). I believe that what this is is an alteration that was done to make this full sized bedspread fit a twin bed. It is so well done, it was hard to figure out. It is a perfect seam. I truly believe that this seam could be removed and the spread turned back into a full sized if that is what the buyer would prefer. Or if you need or want a twin size- it is ready to go!

The spread is bright and colorful. The background is white and the border is yellow. There are curved rounded edges at the bottom and it is squared off at the top.

I consider this to be in very good condition. No real wear. I spread it completely out and looked it over very well. I did not find any stains or spots. I did find a few small pics I took a picture of one of them to show you what I am referring to. They are minor. I also found what I think was a flaw in the fabric and has probably been there all along. I took a picture of this also. I was surprised at how vibrant the colors are on this piece, considering the age of it.

I think it is a wonderful nostalgic piece and just love it.

I am also selling an additional matching bedspread and a matching curtain set that was altered also- to fit a smaller window and the and extra piece of fabric that was left over. I believe this fabric could be used to make pillows or other projects, if the window size does not work .
