Small: Approximately 1/2" to approximately 3/4"
Large: Approximately 1.25" to approximately 1.75"
Extra-Large: Approximately 1.75" to approximately 2"
The contents of three sample packets are shown in the photos, which show each of the pieces of these Abalone shells are different shapes and sizes ~ no two of the Abalone shell pieces are alike. Three photos show a mix of the interior versus the exterior of the shell pieces, and three photos show only the glossy interior of the pieces in each of those sample packets. The surface of the exterior of the pieces have a matte rippled/crinkle effect, and the interior of the Abalone shell pieces have the characteristic glossy iridescent surface. Either side can be used for your artwork! These are ideal for creating striking mosaic backgrounds for shell pictures, frames, and wreaths; or, with the right equipment, you can slice the pieces to whatever shapes and sizes you require for creating jewelry, for use as petals for seashell blossoms, and for creating special accents in Sailor's Valentines! As these are pieces of natural seashells, they retain the natural gentle curve of the shells from which they were harvested ~ rarely do any pieces lay completely flat. These Abalone shell pieces are perfect for creating Mother-of-Pearl jewelry, whether the pieces are used as-is or whether you cut them into smaller pieces for your artwork.
