Greetings. I've been working my way through my grandmother's estate and came across this lovely little beaded bag. It has a label inside reading "Made In Belgium", and measures (at its widest) 5-1/2" x 3-1/2". My guess is this is from the first half of the 1900s, but, again, that is a guess.

The beads actually add a little weight to it. It is satin lined, and there is a small pocket inside against the back wall of the bag. There is some minor staining on the inside satin.

On the back is a loop which kind of confuses me as it appears to accommodate a belt which would certainly make it convenient for slipping on to carry change and small objects. However, being something that seems to appeal more to women, there wouldn't necessarily be need for a belt loop. I'm sure there's a good answer.

Please feel free to write with questions.

Thank you!
