DESCRIPTION: This is a very rare and 100% original, 41" X 81″ US 3-Sheet Theatrical movie poster from one of Amicus’ non-omnibus thrillers, directed by Freddie Francis, written by Robert Bloch, which utilizes some of Hammer’s key personnel, including conductor Philip Martell. Starkly suggestive minimalist art, showing the psychopath about to slice a female doll in half.
OFFICIAL POSTER GRADING: Excellent to Very Good. Standard fold lines. There are small pieces of cellophane on some of the fold lines and edges (only on the back). Not sure why they are there, as all the fold lines are very strong. There is no yellowing at all. The tape looks relatively fresh, but should be removed at some point. No major defects.

GRADING/DETAILS: (EXCELLENT: Un-Circulated) A very rare and un-restored US 3-Sheet theatrical movie poster with bright, vivid colors also boasting a very clean overall appearance. Poster shows hardly ANY signs of general use, such as foxing, edge toning and/or wear. No smudging or any type of minor tears! This 100% Very Rare & Vintage Original Amicus 1961 "The Psychopath" 41" x 81″ US 3-Sheet Poster Starring Patrick Wymark comes securely packaged in thick & very sturdy "acid free" museum quality cardboard. Standard fold lines, no major defects or pinholes what-so-ever! This rare poster was originally sent to theatres to be displayed in the lobby to promote the film's running engagement. When it was over, most were thrown away to make room for the next movie.
Thus, they were also printed on cheaper paper and the vintage poster that have survived today have multiple tears, stains, rips and multiple pin holes in each corner. It's a real miracle to find awesome Amicus 1961 "The Psychopath" 41" x 81″ US 3 Sheet Poster Starring Patrick Wymark in such excellent condition! The poster is folded precisely how one sheets were originally issued by the studio and sent out to the various theaters.
