Weight OPTIONS-
* SAND filled skinny door draught snake. UNWASHABLE.
16-17cm circumference approximately and 4 cm tall from floor to top of door snake.
* SAND filled skinny door draught snake- UNWASHABLE, with removable, washable COVER.
17-18cm in circumference approximately and 4cm tall from floor to top of door snake.
* SAND filled door draught snake with a Polyester Wadding padding to give a nice LUXURY looking item. UNWASHABLE.
20cm in circumference approximately and 5-6cm from floor to top of door snake.
* POLYESTER fibre filled door draught snake. A lighter but WASHABLE item. Good for Asthma sufferers. May not be heavy enough for most customers, so please ask if unsure.
20-21cm in circumference approximately and 5-6cm from floor to top of door snake.
We are pleased to offer one of a kind and custom requirements for our customers. However most typical options are easily selected from the drop down menu.

If you require a hanging loop you MUST ask for this. No hanging loops are included in our designs as standard.
~All items are created in our home studio individually for you. Therefore returns are not accepted. Please ask questions if you are unsure which option will best suit your needs.
Stuffing and sand fillings.-
For our Polyester filled door snakes, we use a polyester fibre stuffing like which is used to stuff toys. It is soft and washable. It is good for asthma sufferers. They will not attract mice, etc like grain filled door snakes. They are not dusty like sawdust versions. The door snakes created with this polyester fibre filling are washable in cold water. Please be aware that this option is the LIGHTEST of our door snakes. Therefore it will not appeal to everyone. They will not completely block drafts as they cannot sit flush to the floor like a sand filled door snake can. But; you can wash them. They are useful to block out light under bedroom doors in day light savings. After unpacking it is necessary to stretch out and remould all of our door snakes. Folding for postage is the most economical way to send them.
Our Sand filled door snakes come larger in circumference than the average cheap overseas imports. We fill them with a special washed and kiln dried sand mix. We find this option is the best to block out most draughts.
The Sand with removable covers option, means you can take off the fabric cover to wash it. Hand or cold machine wash then dry out of direct sunlight to avoid fading of strong colour. After drying, a press with a warm iron will take out any wrinkles. Take care NOT to iron buttons or ribbon ties. They may melt!! Reinsert the sand tube. The Sand filled tube cannot be washed.
Our Sand and Padded option is our luxury choice. We have combined polyester wadding with our custom sand filled tubes to give a generous 21-22cm in circumference. The wadding is sewn onto the sand snake and sewn into a cover of your choice. Any sand filled door snake is UNWASHABLE.
~Any draught snake over 100cm will usually have a join to get the length. It depends on the fabric width. If this is a concern to you please ask if this applies to your preferred fabric.
~Our items are generally folded for the most economical postage. You will need to unfold and reshape once you have taken it from its bag/ wrapping. Polyester filling draught snakes may take a few days to settle. Reshape all door snakes to fit your gaps.
~We attempt to describe our product clearly and it is disappointing for both the customer and for us if you are not satisfied with your item. Usually this is because the wrong option has been chosen. So please message us for advice BEFORE purchasing.
We would prefer to avoid negative feedback from our customers so if we can assist in rectifying a dispute we will do so.
CLEANING advice and WARNINGS.
SAND filling should NOT get wet. It may get hard, clumpy and may develop mildew or mould. Spot cleaning or the use of a lint brush is best. You should NOT wash your draught snake unless it is the Polyester fibre filled option. Removable COVERS can be hand washed in cold water to avoid shrinkage. A press with a warm iron is best after drying, before inserting the sand snake.
It is also necessary to advise that SAND is NOT a edible ingredient. Take care not to get holes for sand to escape.
FABRICS.-If you purchase a water resistant fabric it is easy to wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth. The door snakes made with a cotton fabric should only be spot cleaned or a lint brush can be used to remove dust, etc. Removable Cotton covers can be washed in cold water and ironed after drying. Do not tumble dry. Line dry in the shade to stop colour fading. Take care not to iron buttons or ribbon ties as they may melt. Corduroy fabrics should be protected with a cloth to avoid pile crush from the iron. Use a lint brush to restore the pile.
POLYESTER fibre filling draught snakes are washable. Cold hand wash and gentle spin are best. Do NOT tumble dry. Stretch and manipulate into straight shape to dry. Avoid strong sunlight or fading may occur
