A great addition to you SKS or SVT 40 is our new Shell Deflector. 

The base of the shell deflector mounts to the slide block on the rear site leaf with two set screws. 

         

Utilizing the hinging assembly of the rear sight leaf allows the deflector to move out of the way.  The aluminum base is black anodized and the deflector plate is made from steel and black oxide coated for durability.  The shell deflector work with both the Addley Precision scope mount for the SKS Tri Rail and Slim Line and the SVT40 Tri Rail and Slim Line and Smith less, See links below
