DESCRIPTION:
For sale and just in time for the upcoming Halloween costumed 'fright night,' is this fabulous vintage children's sized, cowboy/cowgirl pair of brushed suede leather chaps, with a decorative cut-out steer affixed to a pocket and suede fringe on the sides of each leg. The chaps and similar suede vest and a cowgirl's brushed suede leather skirt were all found in the same estate and were produced by the John R. Craighead Company of Denver, Colorado, most likely in the mid-1970's to mid-1980's, making them about 35 to 45 years old. The chaps are in great shape, considering their age and vintage pedigree and looks to have been seldom worn or worn possibly only on Halloween or at a celebratory birthday party for a young cowgirl or cowboy. The suede leather is still supple and soft and the yellow ochre and burnt umber colors are still fairly vivid, saturated and largely undiminished. A sewn maker's tag isn't present but was present on a similar vest. Studs adorn the waist and cut-out steers decorating each leg of the pair of brushed suede chaps. There's also an adjustable waist belt with leg ties. Great! Viva Halloween!

CONDITION:
Good to Very Good overall vintage condition. There's one small base stitched repair on suede backing near waist.
