This little wren is singing.  She is perched on a piece of driftwood, with her head up and her beak open I needle felted her from wools and wool batting.  Her beak and feet are clay that I shaped, baked and painted.  Her bright, inquisitive eyes are wool with plastic centres.  She was interesting to make, her colours are muted, yet impressive and she blends into nature, going about her business without drawing attention to herself.  I was inspired to make her after watching the wrens in our garden.  She will sit happily on your shelf or windowsill and makes a lovely addition to any collection.

The wood is 27 cms wide and the whole composition is 12 cms high.  The wren is not a toy and should not be used as such, she is a sculpture to be looked at and enjoyed.
