DIMENSIONS:
Pendant:3⁄4" Width x 6" Height
x 12 1⁄2" full Height (including the chain)
Weight: 1 lb.

DESCRIPTION:
Extraordinarily beautiful, complete and in very well preserved condition. Absolutely gorgeous. The linked bronzed chain has no lock or opening clasp mechanism attached at the top of the chain (which would be located at the back of the neck) and is likely too small to fit onto a normal adult's head. It may have been a hand-held amulet or pendant or possibly designed to hang from a nail fastener on a wall. Reticulated and hammered (stamped by hand) it has wonderful tooled surfaces, neat and clean reticulation and expressive figuration of fauna, in this case a peacock. Absolutely wonderful late 19th to early 20th century antique South Indian tribal craftsmanship and artistry. Lovely.

CONDITION:
Good to Very Good overall antique condition.
