A Chinese cast iron figure of a Buddhist monk, circa 1880. This is a very nicely cast, iron figure of a Buddhist Monk with some remaining gilt and traces of red lacquer highlights. The figure is in very good condition with apparent oxidation and losses to the gilding and lacquer commensurate with its age. It is -18.625 inches tall, by 5.25 inches wide, by 4.0 inches deep.
