The natural product saffron is one of the oldest spices in the world and is not only a spice for gourmets. Already centuries ago, saffron threads have proven to be a universal remedy. Even today, saffron is one of the most highly effective medicinal plants. 

And also in traditional medicine (Ayurveda) saffron has been used for several thousand years as a remedy against a variety of diseases and to strengthen the immune system.

Our saffron comes from natural cultivation without the use of chemicals or pesticides and has a tart, particularly aromatic taste with slightly bitter to spicy nuances.

Selected saffron category 2 is obtained by completely removing the 3 stigmas from the dried saffron flower. The white components are removed. The orange and red components of the saffron threads remain. In order to retain a lot of volume, all 3 stigmas remain connected.

The threads of the selected saffron which  grow in the Crocus blossom are removed completely.The white parts are removed and left over are the stamin threads that have few orange coloured, but the complete red coloured parts maintained. All 3 stamins remain together to maintain plenty volume.

Our saffron has a quality according ISO-Norm 3632-2:

-dyeing force (Crocin) of approx. 265

-bitterness (Picrocrocin) of approx. 85 

-aroma (Safranal) of approx. 40

Our imported saffron comes from controlled production according to DIN ISO standard 3632-2. The saffron flowers are carefully handpicked and carefully processed. 
No synthetically produced chemicals and fertilizers are used. 
After the harvest, the soil is getting prepared for the next harvest.
