A very fine French viola bow made by Louis Gillet ca. 1935, certified by J.F. Raffin, Le Cany and Bigot in Paris. This is a beautiful example and a SUPERB PLAYING BOW! Gillet was an outstanding maker who was working with Sartory from 1926 until 1946.
The stick is orange brown pernambuco with beautiful flames, octagonal, strong with excellent sound and very fine handling. The length of the stick is 72.4 cm and the weight of the bow is 66 g.
