A  rare, superb old French violin bow made by Jean Adam & Jean Dominique Adam ca. 1830, certified by J.F. Raffin, Y. Le Canu and S. Bigot in ParisThis is a very nice example in a fine state of preservation. It is also excellent sounding bow with a very special, rich tone and natural handling that is present only in finest French bows of the first half of 19th century. 
The stick is red brown pernambuco, octagonal, strong with a perfect flexibility, fine handling and rarely wonderful tone. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings.
