A very fine French certified viola bow made by Andre Richaume ca. 1955, branded "A. RICHAUME A PARIS". Andre Richaume was a great master. Fine musicians and some great soloists including David Oistrakh used bows made by Richaume.
This is a very fine example and excellent sounding violin bow.
The stick is red brown pernambuco, round, strong with excellent balance/handling and a superb tonal quality. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 72.9 cm and the weight of the bow is 70 g. It is in excellent state of preservation, ready to play with new hair.
