Up for sale is a nearly perfect vintage crystal extra-large 9 1/2 inch flared vase in the “American” pattern by Fostoria Glass!  The American pattern has a very impressive history – Fostoria started making it in 1915, and it’s likely one of the most collectible patterns ever made by any glassware company.  The geometric cubist pattern in the glass really catches and reflects the light beautifully!  This gorgeous vase has a nice wide flare at the top, and it's in almost immaculate condition!  It stands 9 1/2 inches high on one side (9 1/8 on the other), and it measures 8 inches in diameter across the top.  It also flares out at the bottom.  There are no chips, cracks or flakes.  The glass is nice and shiny bright – no scratches, residue stains, oxidation, or other marks whatsoever.  I found one pinprick bite on a point around the base of the vase, and that's it.  I have several other pieces of the American pattern for sale in other auctions, so be sure to take a look at the other items in my Store!!  Photos of the American pattern can be found in Gene Florence’s “Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era” or in Coe’s “Elegant Glass – Early, Depression & Beyond”.  The buyer will pay shipping.  Shipping will be combined for the buyer of more than one item whenever practical.  Shipping is normally within 24 hours after receipt of PayPal payment (if other payment options are desired, please don’t hesitate to inquire). Please feel free to e-mail any other questions or requests for additional photos, and thanks very much for looking!! Be sure to see my other fantastic items by clicking on the link above.
