Despite my background in Electrical Engineering, I found myself outside my element and lacking test equipment to properly troubleshoot my engine. When I started looking for a DVA Meter, I saw that most were cheap, inexpensive, inaccurate meters that simply were able to read peak voltage. I preferred to be able to use my trusty Simpson 260 Analog meter to read voltages. That evening, I sat down and built an adapter circuit that would allow me to read the peak voltages on my meter. This device worked better than expected. Accuracy of a Patriot Electronics DVA Adapter is on par with dedicated dva meter costing 3 times what this adapter does.
