How It Works: For this offer, your customized shirt will be printed using Gildan or comparable quality Hanes, Bella+Canvas, Next Level or other first quality tees in full color, in ink. We choose based on available stock. No iron-on transfers that fade after a few washings here! All you have to do is provide an image or logo at the correct minimum resolution of 300 dpi or text or vector art (see artwork guidelines below) via the Message Seller option here on eBay and we'll review it and send you a proof, then print and ship your shirt, postage included. Attention to detail is included at no extra charge! VERY IMPORTANT - please respond to the proof we supply with either an approval or adjustment. We generally provide proofs within 24 hours of your submission - if you don't hear from us, send us a message, please!

Note that Orange, Safety Orange and Safety Green shirts will bleed yellow colour into the white or lighter-ink sections of your artwork, if any, warming and tinting up the image. This is a phenomenon called dye migration. Most clients find this objectionable and we don't recommend colour-critical work be printed on these colours because the colour of the printed image will shift. We strongly recommend using black or dark-only colours to print on these colours of shirt. We also stock non-safety ORANGE shirts that can be used for full-colour artwork or images.

PSA: We have noticed that some sellers have used the listing copy from our listings word-for-word, either because they don't know what they're doing or because they know we know what we're doing. That's kind of a sideways compliment, but we do enforce our intellectual property rights. Maybe they want to confuse you, the consumer, so please don't confuse Altacolor with an imposter. Your product is printed or embroidered in the USA in our plant located in Leander, Texas, outside of Austin, and we've been making product and satisfying client's needs for more than 17 years. So, don't accept a substitute, unless it's your cousin or something and he or she could use a break, probably, so, help 'em out, why don't you.

Artwork Guidelines: This is very important - The better the artwork that you submit, the better the end result. If you're using cellphone images or images from social media, be aware that there is a large loss of quality for low-resolution images. The last few generations of smartphones take great pictures, though, and you should be using the maximum resolution in your camera settings. You can always make a picture file more compact, but unlike CSI, there is no "enhance" software that can add non-existent pixels back. Not yet, anyway.

We can evaluate your artwork BEFORE you place your order - simply message us from this listing. AFTER you place your order, you can attach your artwork to "Message Seller" or if that doesn't work, contact us and we will provide instructions.

What follows is technical info that can be helpful and that you should read and understand, but if you're not familiar with this stuff, don't worry - just ask us to help! Here are formats we recommend for direct imprint jobs:

Images:

• Resolution - 300 dpi at reproduction size: This means the resolution of your image should be 300 dpi at the size you want it printed. CMYK is recommended. RGB images may exhibit some colour shift during conversion. (If you're not sure, we will check for you and let you know what we recommend, even before you place an order.)
• PSD or TIFF preferred. If type is set up in the image, 600 dpi is recommended. Setting type in image files is not recommended
• Recommended profile is Coated GRACoL 2006 however we will by default respect whatever profile is attached to the image.
• PNG or JPEG is acceptable but JPEG may have visible blocks of colour because of how the JPEG algorithm compresses files.
• SVG or AI only for vector artwork.

Layouts - for vector design (logos and vector-drawn artwork), type with images (photo plus words) and similar:

• Illustrator (.AI), InDesign (.INDD) or Artpro (.AP) files. Set document raster resolution to 300 dpi. We prefer that image are linked but it's not required.
• PDF saved as AI native or Press Quality, images embedded, fonts as outlines.

Additional artwork thoughts:

• If you are NOT a layout artist, all of this stuff may not be meaningful to you. Don't worry - 99% of the time, we can figure out how to help, so just ask.
• If submitting artwork with type, either include the font files used by the file or better yet, turn all of the fonts to outlines.
• If you're assembling the artwork in Illustrator, InDesign or Artpro, set up a page size of 12 x 12 inches. Don't include a bounding box because it will get printed. Don't include any artwork you don't intend to have printed, such as call-outs or notes in the layout.
• Don't flatten or "res-down" PDFs to make them e-mail-able. If you need to upload large files, please ask for instructions and we'll help.
• If you need complex artwork set-up or design, image editing or retouching, send us your sketch or mock-up and we'll let you know what the enhanced options are.

We will use the best product for your project but we only use the following: Gildan 5000, Gildan 2000, Hanes 5250, Hanes Tagless, Hanes Beefy-T, Gildan Softstyle (for all colours, depending on availability and for sand, slate grey and dark heather) and Gildan Hammer, Bella+Canvas, Next Level, Allstyle, Jerzees, Fruit of the Loom. Why? Some colours work better in some brands than others. But they are all quality comparable to the Gildan commercial tee or better!

Care instructions: Wash inside out, cold or lukewarm (not hot) water, no bleach, with like colors, hang dry or tumble dry low/permanent press, do not dry clean. This will minimize shrinkage and wrinkling. Imprint life varies with what's printed, but following these recommendations assure the longest possible life for your custom shirt. Never iron, steam or press the decorated part of the shirt.

Shrinkage: Although commercial shirts are pre-shrunk, a certain amount of additional shrinkage is possible after washing and drying. You can reduce the amount of shrinkage by washing in cold water and drying low or drip drying. This is true for any tee. Fit is down to individual taste, but if  adjust the size your order if this is a concern.

What we can't print: We can't duplicate trademarks or likenesses that you don't own. We also can't print messages or image that subjectively promote or suggest hate, violence or discrimination against others, neither can we reproduce inappropriate images or text. We also reserve the right to not produce work that involves political speech. Life is short - keep it light, people.
