Sidr Honey:

Sidr Honey, the mono-floral honey which comes from the bees that feed exclusively on the nectar of the wild Sidr tree. This ancient tree grows uncultivated in the remote mountains that climb Pakistan and Afghanistan's tribal areas. This area hosts the world's oldest and largest Sidr Forest. The quality of our Sidr Honey is so good that it has been rated the "best in the world" by honey connoisseurs at FoodX 2016, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Sidr tree is considered sacred and has been used as a natural medicine for centuries. The genuine Sidr Honey is also rare. It is harvested once a year in November.

Sidr Honey's taste is considered a luxury, and it is said to be rich and unforgettable. People who have tried Sidr Honey are said to be "spoiled" by the experience. As raw and cold-extracted, Sidr Honey holds a high nutritious value.

Over the centuries, the incredible power and strength possessed by honey have been underestimated by many, especially scientists. Its curing ability has surprised all levels of intellect.

The Quran and the Sunnah have mentioned this fantastic food and spoke extensively regarding its uses in this world and the Jannah.

There are many ways one can consume or use Sidr honey in their daily life. Some of the principal ways are:

A few of the very many cures include:

Heart Patients: These people are well-advised to replace white sugar (sucrose) with honey, natural fructose, and glucose.

Hay-fever: Chewing the tops of comb honey stimulates the immune system due to minute amounts of pollen. During the season, chew for 20 minutes a teaspoon of bee capping (tops) five to six times per day. Highly effective and beneficial for people with asthma as well.

Baby's Bottle: Four teaspoons of honey to a baby's water bottle is an excellent pacifier and multivitamin additive. If the baby's motions are too liquid, then reduce by half a teaspoon; if too solid, increase by half a teaspoon.

Teething: Honey rubbed on a baby's gums is a mild sedative and anesthetic.

Osteoporosis: English research has shown that a teaspoon of honey per day aids calcium utilization and prevents osteoporosis. Essential from age 50 onwards.

Long Life: One common fact worldwide is that the most long-lived people are regular users of honey. An interesting fact yet to be explained is that beekeepers suffer less from cancer and arthritis than any other occupational group worldwide.

Migraine:

  1. Use a dessert spoon of honey dissolved in half a glass of warm water.
  2. Sip at the start of the attack.
  3. If necessary, repeat in 20 minutes.
  4. Consistently effective (so tip goes) as migraine is stress-related.

Conjunctivitis (pus in the eye): Honey dissolved in an equal quantity of warm water. Apply, when cooled, as a lotion or eye bath.

Both the holy Qur'an and Hadith refer to honey as a healer of disease.

'And thy Lord taught the bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations..... there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colors, wherein is healing for mankind. Verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought'. (Translation of Quran 16:68-69)

The Prophet (PBUH) said: 'Honey is a remedy for every illness, and the Qur'an is a remedy for all illness of the mind. Therefore I recommend to you remedies, the Qur'an and honey.' (Bukhari)

Black seed is also included in the list of natural drugs of Al-Tibb al-Nabawi, and, according to tradition, "Hold onto the use of the black seed for in it is healing for all illnesses except death."

(Sahih Bukhari Vol 7 Bk 71 #592).
